Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1″ Specs and Release Date

Those who love the Galaxy Tab will now have a larger version of of their favorite tablet because Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1″ has been released. The Android 4.0-powered tablet comes with a 10.1 inch screen that has a resolution of 1280×800 pixels. Although Tab 2 10.1 is larger than its seven-inch predecessor, it is thinner and it looks more sleek. Another thing that comes better with this new version is the higher capacity 7,000mAh battery. We can see that this is quite an improvement from the 4,000mAh battery that comes with the 7.0 version.

Although much of the specs in this new version are similar to the older version, the Tab 2 10.1 could not be considered as just a bigger version of the Tab 2 7.0; there are differences in the design of the two tablets, for on, the speakers of Tab 2 10.1 are placed near the front panel.

Both notebooks are powered by 2nd Generation Intel Core i7 quad- and i5 dual-core processors and RAM that could be up to 16GB. And because the two laptops are meant to be used mainly for entertainment, they also come equipped with Nvidia GeForce GT 555M 2GB dedicated video card, which is decent enough for mid-range gaming laptops. The two models have also built-in DVD or Blu-ray drive.

Now, let us go to the difference between the AS5951G and AS8951G. The obvious difference between the two laptops is the screen size; the AS8951G has a larger display and a resolution in full HD. The AS5951G on the other hand has a 1366 x 768 panel. Scratch resistant Corning Gorilla glass not protects the display of both machines but also give them very sleek look. When it comes to audio, the AS8951G has also the edge compared to the AS5951G because it has 5 speakers, one of which is a sub-woofer. The ASUS UX21 Ultrathin laptop debuted today at Computex conference in Taipei and it looks like this machine is poised to be a real winner. The UX21 is so thin and it’s thickest part is about 17mm. That’s how thin it is. Because it’s thin is is also very light, it weighs 2.4 pounds or 1.1 kilograms. But what makes this notebook a real winner is not just its thinness but what is packed inside its aluminum alloy frame. The UX21′s brain is Core i7 and it is equipped with SATA III SSD, USB 3.0 connectivity, and Windows 7 Professional 64-bit operating system. The UX21 is said to be able to boot in a few seconds and it can resume operating from sleep in 2 seconds flat. It has a glass trackpad and keyboard made of metal. This notebook is really a beauty and it seems like it can take on MacBook Air.

ASUS will launch the UX21 in September so don’t miss this one.Below is a video showing the UX21, see how shiny and sexy this laptop is, drool over it. As of this writing there is no information about the price but I guess it would be near the price of Macbook Air.

What is the fastest smartphone currently available from AT&T? They say it’s Samsung Infuse 4G. Yes, this smartphone is a cross between Samsung Captivate and Samsung Galaxy S II, that is if you look at the hardware specifications. What’s in for us in Infuse 4G? Here they are: a radio that can achieve peak rates of 21Mbps, huge 4.5-inch 800 x 480-pixel resolution Super AMOLED Plus display, a thin and light form factor, and a solid camera. When we say thin we are talking about a 0.35-in thick smartphone. And when we say “solid camera” it means a 1.3-megapixel front-facing camera for video chats, and an 8-megapixel camera that can record full 720p high definition video.

If we take a look under the hood of the Samsung Infuse 4G, we will see a 1.2GHz processor, 16GB of storage built in, a 2GB microSD card, support for 802.11b/g/n Wi-Fi networks, a 1,750mAh battery, and so much more. Of course this smartphone runs on Android 2.2.1 Froyo with TouchWiz user interface.
