iPad 2 Specs, Release Date, and Price

The iPad 2 has been officially announced today in an Apple event in San Francisco, California. Apple CEO Steve Jobs was present at the event and announced that the new iPad will have a front and rear-facing cameras for video. Jobs also said that iPad 2 will be thinner and will be powered by a faster processor. As to the price the iPad 2 will cost much like its predecessor, it will start at $499.

The tablet, which comes in two colors (black and white versions) will start to be available in the US by March 11th and by March 25 it will be available in other countries. Both Verizon and At&T will be supporting the tablet.
